Attendance
Presence in Class Sessions
Article 14:
Attendance of the student in all sessions related to each course is mandatory, and the hours of absence for the student in each course should not exceed 16/3 of the total hours of that course; otherwise, the student's score in that course will be considered zero.
Clause 1:
If the student's absence in any course exceeds 16/3 but is deemed justified, that course will be dropped. In this case, maintaining the threshold of 12 credits during the semester is not mandatory for the student. However, the mentioned semester will be counted as a full semester in the student's academic years.
Clause 2:
Absences in the first two weeks of any course due to course registration changes or any other reason are not allowed, and if such circumstances arise, it will count towards the 16/3 permissible absences for the student.
Absence in Examinations
Article 15:
An unexcused absence from the examination of any course is equivalent to receiving a score of zero in that examination, and an excused absence from the examination of any course will result in the removal of that course.
Article 16:
Determining the justifiability of absences in class sessions and examinations is the responsibility of the university's educational council or the selected committee of that council.
