Acceptance of Course Units:
Article 63:
The equivalency and acceptance of courses that the candidates of the nationwide exam have previously completed at universities or other educational levels is permitted under the following conditions:
Note 1:
The equivalency and acceptance of courses are conducted by the relevant educational groups at the accepting university.
Note 2:
The grades for the accepted courses will not be counted in the calculation of the semester average. However, they will be included in the calculation of the student's overall average.
Note 3:
For every 20 accepted credit units, one semester will be deducted from the maximum allowed duration of the student's studies.
Article 64:
A student who has successfully completed all course units of one of the diploma, non-continuous bachelor's, or continuous bachelor's programs according to the approved program and in accordance with the regulations of this decree will be recognized as a graduate of that program.
Note 1:
The date of graduation is the day when the last grade of the student is submitted by the instructor to the educational administration of the faculty or university.
Note 2:
Considering Note 1 and strictly adhering to Article 24, it is essential for each university to designate a specific time each semester to announce the graduation of students and to prepare the necessary arrangements.
Article 65:
The overall average of the student's grades at the end of their studies must be at least 12 to receive the corresponding diploma for their field of study (diploma or bachelor's degree). If the student's average grade is less than 12, and if there is no hindrance regarding the duration of study, they can reselect a maximum of 20 course units with grades lower than 12 in one semester (for the diploma program) and two semesters (for the bachelor's program) to repeat those courses in order to improve their overall average. In this case, the grades for the repeated courses will be recorded in addition to the previous grades on the student's transcript and will be included in the calculation of their overall average.
Note 1:
A student who cannot or does not wish to take advantage of the regulations mentioned in this article or, despite using them, cannot compensate for their overall average deficiency will be expelled from their studies if they are in the diploma program, and if they are in the bachelor's or continuous master's program, they may graduate with a diploma of the lower educational level based on Article 30 and its note.
