Conditional Registration
Article 27:
The average grades of a student must not be less than 12 in any academic semester; otherwise, the student's registration for the following semester will be conditional.
Note:
Each university is required to notify the student in writing about their conditional status each time and keep a copy of it in the student's file. However, any negligence in notifying the student by the university or the student's claim of unawareness regarding this matter will not hinder the enforcement of regulations.
Article 28:
A student who registers conditionally may not select more than 14 credit units in that semester, except in the final academic semester.
Expulsion of Conditional Students
Article 29:
If a student's average grades in any continuous bachelor's or master's program fall below 12 for three consecutive semesters or four alternating semesters, or in non-continuous associate and bachelor's programs for two academic semesters, whether consecutive or alternating, the student will be deprived of continuing their studies at any stage.
Article 30:
A student who is expelled from their bachelor’s program due to excessive conditional status may receive a lower-level certificate in that field if they have successfully completed the lower-level program's permissible credit units and their overall average in these units is not less than 12, provided they comply with other relevant regulations.
Note:
If the student’s field of study does not exist at a lower level and is not approved, the student may, with the approval of the relevant academic department, change to one of the available fields close to their study field at a lower level in that or another university. After equivalency of the courses with the new field and completing any deficiencies, they may graduate at that level. It is evident that the equivalence of courses and determining any deficiencies lies with the accepting university’s academic department.
Article 31:
A student who is expelled due to excessive conditional status may take part in the national entrance exam to pursue studies again and continue their education in their desired field if they pass.
The accepting university may match the credits that the student has completed in the previous field with the new program and accept some or all of them according to the regulations of this ordinance.
