Average Grades

Article 26:

At the end of each academic semester , the average grades of the student for that semester, as well as the overall average of their grades up to that point and at the end of their academic program, will be calculated and recorded on their transcript.

Note 1:

To calculate the average grades, the number of credits for each course is multiplied by the grade of that course, and the total of these products for all courses the student has taken (whether failed or passed) is divided by the total number of credits attempted.

Note 2:

The summer term does not count as an academic semester. The grades of the courses that a student completes during the summer term are only considered in calculating the overall average of the student. Similarly, if a student takes fewer than 12 credits in a semester, and the shortage of credits is beyond their control, those courses will also be included in their overall average, but that semester will still count toward the maximum period allowed for the student’s studies.
