If a student’s grade average in undergraduate and continuous master’s programs is less than 12 over three consecutive semesters or four alternating semesters, and in associate and discontinuous bachelor’s programs is less than 12 over two academic semesters, whether consecutive or alternating, at any stage, the student will be prohibited from continuing their studies. Article 30:
A student who is dismissed from continuing their studies in the undergraduate program due to excessive conditional status, if they have successfully completed the allowable credits for the respective lower program and their overall average in those credits is not less than 12, may, adhering to other relevant regulations, receive the conventional certificate for the lower program in that field. Note:
If the student’s field of study does not exist at the lower level and that field lacks an approved program, the student may, with the approval of the corresponding educational group, transfer to one of the existing fields close to their field of study at a lower level, in that university or another faculty, and after aligning the credits with the new field and completing any shortages, graduate from that level. It is obvious that the alignment of credits and the determination of shortage courses fall under the responsibility of the accepting university’s educational group. Article 31:
A student who is dismissed from continuing their studies due to excessive conditional status may, upon fulfilling or waiving any commitments made during their studies, register for the nationwide entrance exam for re-admission and, if successful in their desired field, continue their studies.
The accepting university can align the credits that the student completed in the previous program with the new program and accept some or all of them according to the regulations of this bylaws.
Scope of the bylaws for continuous master’s programs Article 32:
Students in continuous master’s programs, throughout their studies up to the acceptable credits of the undergraduate program (135 to 140), are subject to the regulations of this bylaws and in specialized courses, projects, and theses marked with an asterisk in the approved program, are subject to the regulations of discontinuous master’s programs.
A student who is deprived of or deterred from continuing their studies in the undergraduate program due to conditional status or any other reason, if they have completed at least 70 credit hours with a passing grade, may receive an associate degree in the same field.
The issuance of the associate degree is made at the request of the student, regardless of the existence of an approved associate’s program in that field or whether the issuing university is the one implementing the associate degree program. (Number 22220/2 dated 1/12/81)
