According to the university's public relations, coinciding with the blessed birth of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him) and the day of the Guardian, a meeting was held with the presence of Dr. Rashadi, advisor to the Minister of Science, Research, and Technology regarding veterans, where the efforts of the professors and staff who are veterans of this university were recognized. In this meeting, Dr. Rashadi stated: "Now that we are celebrating the forty-fifth anniversary of the glorious victory of the Islamic Revolution, we must take pride in ourselves, as during the war we didn't even have bullets and were completely dependent on other countries. However, today our military independence is renowned not only in the region but across the world." He added, "Yesterday, Iran was a colony of the United States, but today our ground forces, naval forces, and air forces protect the country in such a way that the enemy dares not come close to us." He continued, "Iran's economy is becoming a thriving economy. In the economic sphere, our dear Iran has made significant advancements. As His Excellency stated, we are close to the summit, as Iran was once only a consumer but today our exports have become remarkably substantial." Dr. Rashadi continued, "Today our concern is the cultural sector, as the enemy has lost hope from military confrontation with us. Nowadays, the enemy has invested in families and youth, but they do not know that we have leaders who, by following their example, can overcome all problems. The Imams and then the Guardianship of the Jurist are the best role models for us." He remarked, "Yesterday, the revolution wanted martyrs, but today it needs standard-bearers. Our most important duty is to be the standard-bearers of the revolution. If we are the standard-bearers for the martyrs and our fathers, we will have a proud and honorable Iran." Each of the attendees then voiced their concerns, suggestions, and criticisms. In the end, the professors and staff who are veterans were honored.
