The Central Library of Qom University of Technology was established in 2008, simultaneously with the founding of the university, and is currently ready to serve students, professors, and staff. The primary goal of the Central Library is to enhance the quality of education and research at the university by providing sufficient and necessary printed and electronic information resources and offering an appropriate environment for utilizing these resources in the service of education and research in the shortest time and under the best possible conditions. Thus, the following duties have been outlined for the Central Information Center and Library:

  • Providing and gathering library materials, including printed, non-printed, and electronic resources, and offering accessibility services for the scientific resources and information needed by researchers at the university
  • Performing technical services (cataloging, organizing, and indexing) for all library resources at Qom University of Technology
  • Managing and overseeing the comprehensive library software under the university's network
  • Guiding and training users in retrieving and utilizing information resources, and providing information and reference services to all users
  • Offering membership, loan, and account settlement services for members
  • Developing and expanding the digital library
  • Collecting and organizing knowledge produced at the university (organizational knowledge repository)
  • Providing consultancy services regarding the standardization of university libraries in physical aspects, equipment, and facilities
  • Preparing content and updating the Central Library website
  • Employing modern library and information science methods and advanced information technologies to optimize the use of human resources, materials, and facilities to disseminate information more swiftly, increase access to it, and actively provide services
  • Formulating policies and necessary regulations related to library services and activities and preparing short-term, medium-term, and long-term plans.
  • Gathering and analyzing statistics on library activities and providing necessary reports
  • Preparing guides and brochures to inform professors and students about the resources and services of the library
  • Providing continuous training for library staff to keep them updated and knowledgeable about modern library and information science
  • Establishing communication with other information centers and implementing inter-library loan services nationwide to address resource shortages
  • Striving to honor clients.
