According to the university's public relations report, based on the approval of the permanent secretariat of the conference, the twelfth edition of the Conference on Renewable Energies and Distributed Generation of Iran will be hosted by Qom University of Technology on March 8, 2025. This conference will be held as a scientific and specialized event focusing on topics such as various forms of renewable energies and related technologies, renewable energy strategies, the impacts of renewable energies, distributed generation (design, operation, electricity market, economy), etc. in collaboration with the municipality of the holy city of Qom.
In this context, a meeting was held on Tuesday, November 24, in the presence of the executive committee of the conference and officials of the Energy Resource Development Company as one of the sponsors of the conference. During this meeting, preliminary discussions on joint collaborations, including scientific themes, were addressed. It is noteworthy that considering the Supreme Leader's emphasis on the importance of scientific authority in governance, an amount of two billion rials has been allocated by the mentioned company to this conference in the form of a scientific jihad project.
Dr. Ehsan Heydarian Forushani, a faculty member of the Power Group and the executive secretary of the conference, highlighted that with planning and utilizing the potentials of the industries in the province, additional financial supporters will soon join the supporters of this conference. He also described the scientific level of the conference as satisfactory and noted that so far, more than 10 international faculty members working at universities in countries such as England, the Netherlands, Italy, Germany, France, Norway, Turkey, the United Arab Emirates, etc., have joined the scientific committee of this conference.
