Introduction to the Center for Continuing and Online Education

The Center for Continuing and Online Education at Qom University of Technology was established in 2013 under the title of the Office of Continuing and Online Education, with the aim of expanding educational opportunities and leveraging the University's academic and professional capacities to address the evolving educational needs of society.

Rapid developments in science, technology, and society, along with changes in people's lifestyles, have created an increasing demand for diverse, flexible, and accessible educational opportunities. Time and geographical constraints, professional commitments, and the diverse educational needs of individuals have further highlighted the importance of innovative approaches to education. In this context, online and electronic learning, enabled by advances in information and communication technologies, provides opportunities for learners to access educational resources and programs with greater flexibility in terms of time and location.

At the same time, continuing and professional education provides an effective means of extending specialized knowledge and practical skills to a broader range of learners, including those who are not enrolled as regular university students. Such educational opportunities can address the professional and technical needs of society while strengthening the connection between academic knowledge and the practical requirements of the workplace and wider community.

Drawing upon the academic expertise of faculty members and professionals, as well as the University's educational facilities and infrastructure, the Center for Continuing and Online Education is committed to advancing accessible, flexible, practice-oriented, and competency-based education.
