According to the university's public relations: Through the efforts of the officials at Qom University of Technology, plans are underway to attract benefactors for the construction of a new university campus and to build 10 new classrooms to enhance the educational spaces and modernize classroom facilities.
In this regard, Mr. Sarmeh and Mr. Hosseini from the Educational Cultural Center (Ghalam Chi) visited Qom University of Technology. During this visit, Dr. Rezaei Nour, the president of Qom University of Technology, welcomed them and recounted the university's history, stating: "Our university lacks adequate physical space but has lofty goals, including the promotion of entrepreneurship and job creation for students."
He added: "Unfortunately, the shortage and dispersion of classrooms have created unsuitable physical conditions for the faculties. Constructing 10 classrooms next to the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science is essential, which can be built and put into operation within 45 days at a minimal cost of 2 billion and 600 thousand rials through round-the-clock efforts."
The president of Qom University of Technology said: "Considering the proximity of Qom and Tehran, most of the students at this university are from the elite of Qom and Tehran, who are very capable and energetic. It is our duty to provide them with quality education and research opportunities."
He added: "Universities are the best place for young people, protecting them from social harms. Benefactor investment in this sector not only provides benefits in education but has widespread societal advantages."
Dr. Kafa'itmand Ghiyour, senior advisor to the university president, while referencing the university's potentials, including young faculty members, motivated staff, and focused, active, and dynamic students, stated: "We will do our utmost to ensure the welfare of students and create an environment that befits them."
He mentioned the meeting between the university officials and Ayatollah Shahrasti, saying: "All of us, including officials and benefactors, must feel responsible toward the younger generation. If a climate of despair and hopelessness is established in society, brain drain will occur, which must be prevented as much as possible."
Dr. Kafa'itmand Ghiyour, in light of the government’s budget constraints, considered the presence of benefactors in universities essential and added: "If half of the construction project is accomplished with the help of benefactors, the government is obliged to complete it; therefore, benefactors can significantly aid the development of science and technology in the country."
In conclusion, Mr. Sarmeh and Mr. Hosseini visited the educational spaces, workshops, and laboratories at Qom University of Technology.
