According to the university's public relations, the president and vice presidents of Qom Industrial University met and discussed with the educational deputy of the Ministry of Science, Research, and Technology. In this meeting, Dr. Rezaei Nour, the president of Qom Industrial University, highlighted the scientific and research advancements of the university. He pointed to the growing industry of Qom province, stating that with the organization of skill enhancement courses, especially the skill development programs for the students of this university, they have acquired the necessary skills to enter the job market. He added that students of Qom Industrial University participate in the Industry Partner Program while studying, working in factories located in the industrial zones of the province, thus fulfilling part of their significant mission. Dr. Rezaei Nour mentioned that Qom Industrial University, as a developing university centered around a knowledge-based economy, is in a favorable condition regarding skills and employment. Undoubtedly, by attracting more faculty members and implementing joint projects with the province's industry, it can achieve better performance. Dr. Amoabedini, the educational deputy of the Ministry of Science, Research, and Technology, stated that the spatial planning of higher education is a crucial matter and must be implemented; therefore, programs should be shaped in accordance with territorial assessments. The educational deputy emphasized that universities have a mission in two areas: strategic technologies and the needs of society and industry, adding that interdisciplinary technology faculties should be established in universities to guide higher education towards developing programs essential for the country. He noted that with the emergence of new technologies worldwide, some fields may have no job market; thus, new fields should be expanded to witness both a transformation in strategic technologies and a response to the needs of society and industry.
