According to the university's public relations: Mohammad Hossein  Asghar Nejad, a fifth-semester engineering physics student at Qom University of Technology, has qualified for the third national robotics workshop.
The third national robotics workshop aimed to cultivate elite and specialized forces in the field of robotics and create a collaborative environment for better dissemination of standard robotics models across the country. It was organized by the Iranian Scientific Student Union of Robotics and Mechatronics under the supervision of the Ministry of Science, Research, and Technology. This workshop was held in both online and in-person formats. In the online section, out of 528 participants, 100 individuals from 23 universities progressed to the in-person stage.

In the online section, the fundamental concepts of robotics were provided through educational videos and interactive learning in three areas: mechanics, electronics, and programming. After completing the online courses and acquiring the necessary points, the selected individuals were invited to the host university of this workshop (Kurdistan University) where for three days, under the guidance of distinguished professors from Iran, they received essential training on networking and robots, artificial intelligence, and industrial robots, and were introduced as ambassadors of the union to the universities.
