According to the public relations office of the university, Dr. Rezaei Noor, the president of Qom University of Technology, commemorated the week of Basij with the issuance of a message. The full text of this message is as follows:In the name of God, the Compassionate, the MercifulThe week of Basij, which was registered in the calendar of the Islamic Republic of Iran by the decree of Imam Khomeini (RA) in 1979, signifies the power, resilience, strength, and greatness of the Basij.Today, after many years, the Basij volunteers stand by the leader and the nation in all events and incidents, leaving no effort spared to preserve the independence and freedom of the Islamic Republic of Iran. The communal and compassionate spirit of the Basij members has made Basij a model and example for other countries. Undoubtedly, if during the eight years of sacred defense, as well as in incidents such as floods, earthquakes, COVID-19, the mischief and plots of the enemies, and even in scientific jihad, the Basij members had not been with the people and mindful, we would not have been able to easily pass by these events and incidents.The Supreme Leader (may his shadow last) states: "Basij is a collection of the purest people, the most self-sacrificing and ready-to-act youth of the country, united for the noble goals of this nation and for achieving perfection and happiness for this country." This statement is a precious gem, the most beautiful description of Basij. Today, we also witness the self-sacrifice and dedication of Basij students in universities. Scientific jihad and the organization of jihadist camps are remarkable examples of Basij students' activities.On this occasion, while honoring the memory of martyrs and Basij veterans, I congratulate the anniversary of the establishment of this sacred institution to all Basij members of the Islamic Republic of Iran, and I pray to the Almighty God for the well-being, dignity, and continued success for all dear Basij members.
