According to the Public Relations Office of the university: The educational and research deputy of Qom University of Technology reported that nearly 80 percent of the university's graduates are employed this year.
Dr. Marjani, the educational and research deputy of Qom University of Technology, stated: Today, the employment of youth has become one of the main issues in the country. Despite the enemy's sanctions and the necessity to solve issues within the country, it is essential to give more attention to the capacity of young and specialized forces.
He added: At this point in time, higher education has a critical role in addressing the problem of unemployment. Tracking the career paths of graduates and maintaining continuous follow-up was a topic that was done sporadically in universities until the Employment Monitoring Plan was conducted nationwide by the Ministry of Science, Research, and Technology. Investigating acceptance capacities in various fields, reviewing curricula, providing practical training to students, and new planning and policymaking in higher education are among the results of this plan's examination.
Dr. Marjani deemed the establishment of an information and awareness system for stakeholders regarding the employment status of each academic discipline essential, and emphasized: The creation of this system would promote transparency and inform students, who can reduce the unemployment rate of university graduates by making informed and correct choices regarding their fields based on the statistics and information available on educational disciplines.
He stated: By participating in the Employment Monitoring Plan, it was determined that the average employment rate at this university was 72 percent last year and nearly 80 percent this year.
The educational and research deputy of Qom University of Technology said: This university, while developing and implementing the Industry Partner Plan for the first time in the country, has been able to create opportunities for employment during studies for students. Considering the presence of industrial parks in Qom province, this plan has not only created jobs for students but has also contributed to the production boom in the province.
He added: One of the goals of Qom University of Technology, as a third-generation entrepreneurial and wealth-producing university, is to foster entrepreneurship. In this regard, Qom University of Technology has established a Startup Empowerment Club to provide the ground for the practical implementation of students' ideas.
