The educational deputy of Qom University of Technology said: Admissions without entrance exams occur in universities that have empty seats, but at our university, the seats are filled based on entrance exams, and for this reason, only exceptional students are admitted to the master's program according to the regulations of the Ministry of Science.
He emphasized: The university's plan is to achieve a ratio of one master's student to one bachelor's student, which is why we have made plans to increase capacity in master's programs, and we will not have an increase in undergraduate admissions.
The educational deputy of Qom University of Technology, referring to the recruitment of 10 to 15 new faculty members at this university, said: For every 30 students at our university, one professor is active, and we are striving to reduce this number to 22.
In an interview with a reporter from the Student News Agency and stating that for every 30 students at this university, one professor is active, he said: The ideal number announced by the ministry for the student-to-faculty ratio is 22.
Dr. Marjani continued: By the end of October this year, between 10 to 15 new members will be added to the university's faculty; however, because we will increase the capacity in the master’s program, the student-to-faculty ratio may not change this year at our university.
The educational deputy of Qom University of Technology stated: Our strategic plan is to reach the standards set by the Ministry of Science, and likely next year, the ratio of students to professors will decrease.
