According to the Public Relations of Qom Industrial University, during Research Week, top researchers from Qom Industrial University were honored.In this ceremony, Dr. Rezaei Nour, President of Qom Industrial University, discussed the importance of research and added: "Applied research is so important and necessary for Islamic Iran that it has been repeatedly emphasized by the Supreme Leader, the President, and the Minister of Science, Research, and Technology. In recent years, 15 percent of universities' operational budgets have also been allocated to research." He spoke about the growth of research at Qom Industrial University, highlighting achievements such as securing the first rank in employment for bachelor’s degree graduates in 1399, achieving second place in employment for bachelor’s degree graduates and ninth place for master’s degree graduates in 1400, earning the tenth national rank in organizing skill enhancement courses for students in 1401 among all universities in the country, obtaining the license and publishing four scientific research journals, ranking third nationally in the number of faculty members, and ranking fifteenth in the number of research contracts in 1401. Additionally, he mentioned the ninth national rank in the financial support for graduate thesis topics as a percentage of total theses in 1401, and the positioning of two faculty members from Qom Industrial University, Dr. Ziyani, a faculty member in the Electrical Engineering Department, and Dr. Talebi, a faculty member in the Mechanical Engineering Department, as top two percent scientists globally, illustrating the growth of Qom Industrial University in the area of research.He considered the presence of Qom Industrial University in global rankings to be significant and added: "To place Qom Industrial University in the Times Ranking, we will utilize the postdoctoral and research assistant capacities. Initial steps in this regard have also been taken."He referred to the activities of the Innovation Center and the Revival Center at Qom Industrial University, stating: "Today, a very suitable environment for research has been established at Qom Industrial University, allowing professors, students, and even researchers from the province to benefit from this capacity."Hojjatoleslam Dr. Ghorbani Mobin, the representative of the Supreme Leader at the university, said: "The clergy's duty is to promote spirituality in society. Spirituality must also be cultivated in academic communities so that science can turn into light. He added: "Science without purification becomes a science that is at the disposal of the West, which, instead of promoting humanity, will bring about its destruction. This is why the United States and Israel seem to be stuck in the era of primitive humans and the Middle Ages in terms of humanity and knowledge."Dr. Soleimani, Vice President for Education and Research at the university, reported on the upward trend of SCOPUS articles, the average number of citations received per article in SCOPUS, the h-index, the number of registered patents, research contracts, and the increasing number of books published by the publishing house.He announced the formation of a Technology Council committee at the university and added: "The purpose of this committee is to examine technology-related issues, including reviewing requests from knowledge-based companies for establishment at the university and considering requests from professors with industrial projects for allocating research space."Dr. Soleimani added: "In order to create a suitable platform for researchers, specialized laboratories such as Power Electronics Laboratory, Advanced Control Systems Laboratory, Signal Processing Laboratory, Research Laboratory for Advanced Material Structure Modeling, Rechargeable Battery Research Laboratory, and Advanced Telecommunications Systems Research Laboratory have been established at the university."Additionally, Dr. Jalali, head of the Intelligent Software Laboratory at Qom University, spoke about the role of professors and students in applied research.
Finally, Dr. Talebi and Dr. Ziyani were honored as top two percent scientists globally, Dr. Mehdi Soleimani and Dr. Hadi Ziyani as outstanding research leaders at the university, Dr. Ghanbari as the top researcher of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Dr. Jafar Khademzadeh as the top researcher of the Faculty of Technical and Engineering, Dr. Majubeh Shamsi as the top researcher of the Faculty of Electrical and Computer Engineering, and Dr. Mohammad Karimi as the recognized outstanding education and research assistant. Additionally, Dr. Hosseinzadeh was honored as the top technologist and innovator of the university in the province, and Engineer Jabari as the top researcher among executive organizations was also recognized. Furthermore, Fatemeh Irani Qomi and Zahra Mohammadi Khani were acknowledged as the top student researchers, and Engineer Hamid Reza Basharti was honored as the active technologist.
