Ayatollah Subhani: Universities must untangle the challenges of people's lives.

According to the public relations office of the university: The president of Qom University of Technology met and discussed with Ayatollah Subhani. In this meeting, Ayatollah Subhani referred to the critical duty of academics and added: Universities must resolve the challenges faced by the people.
Ayatollah Subhani considered human life to be based on two pillars: knowledge and faith, and emphasized that knowledge is the engine that drives society forward, while faith provides leadership.
He continued: A student must be knowledgeable. However, knowledge alone is not sufficient; it is piety that redirects knowledge towards the right path and fosters progress and flourishing in society. If a knowledgeable person lacks piety, their knowledge may lead them astray.
The esteemed religious authority stated: Knowledge only provides awareness, while piety and faith guide and direct that knowledge. When knowledge and piety work in tandem, universities can effectively resolve the challenges faced by the people.
He regarded the connection between industry and academia as extremely important and clarified: Today, our country needs knowledge and industry. The progress of the nation must be carried out by educated and religious youth. If this approach is implemented, universities will be beneficial and effective.
Ayatollah Subhani emphasized that spirituality must not be overlooked in universities. Religion should be integrated into the lives of students. This way, students can thrive both in this world and the hereafter.
Regarding the promotion of religion in universities, he stated: Advocacy of religious and spiritual matters should be conducted indirectly for the younger generation. Encouraging the youth towards modesty and hijab is highly valuable. The effects and blessings of hijab in society should be shown to the youth, helping them understand how the West views women and why families in the West are facing significant disintegration.
Dr. Rezaei Nour, the president of Qom University of Technology, introduced 23 technical and engineering majors at this university and added: This university is developing with young and talented professors, and capable students, maintaining constant connections with industries in the province to contribute to production growth.
He said: Given the status of the holy city of Qom, particularly with the presence of scholars and clerics in this city, Qom University of Technology can become a model university for the country through extensive cooperation with esteemed religious authorities and seminaries.
The president of Qom University of Technology stated: This university can play a pivotal role in promoting Islamic and Iranian culture through the bond between seminaries and universities, serving as a complete model of an Islamic university and a suitable example for other technical universities in the country.

At Qom University of Technology, we aim to train creative, entrepreneurial, devout, and committed engineers. In this regard, the university authorities invest in both the academic and cultural-religious dimensions of students.
