Jafar Ghanbari stated in an interview with ISNA on the occasion of the 45th anniversary of the establishment of the Academic Jihad: The Academic Jihad is one of the scientific institutions that was formed after the Islamic Revolution, established in response to the country's urgent need for industrial production and scientific advancements; this institution can be regarded as one of the valuable achievements of the Islamic Revolution, which has played an irreplaceable role in the scientific development of Iran over the past four decades.
He commented that the achievements of the Academic Jihad have been remarkable not only at the national level but also in international arenas, saying: Among these successes, we can point to significant advancements in the fields of stem cell technology and infertility treatment; The specialized infertility treatment center of the Academic Jihad in Qom (Royah) is one of the successful centers in the area of infertility treatment from which the people of the province and even patients from other countries benefit.

The Goal of the Academic Jihad; Turning Students' Ideas into Operational Plans
Ghanbari considered one of the main objectives of the Academic Jihad to be the transformation of students' ideas into operational plans across all sectors and continued: In this regard, close collaboration with universities can better clarify the goals, position, and role of this institution within the country's scientific system; moreover, promoting and introducing the capacities of the Academic Jihad to students is of special importance so that they can benefit from this institution's facilities.
He emphasized: Among the other effective functions of the Academic Jihad is the establishment of science and technology parks and innovation centers which have expanded in recent years with the support of officials. The repurposing of some of this institution's centers into shared workspaces and providing acceleration services to startups is a significant step towards leveraging the networking capabilities of the Academic Jihad across the country. Given the existing infrastructure, this institution can outperform many accelerator companies.
The President of Qom University of Technology mentioned: It is hoped that by better defining the position of the Academic Jihad and fostering constructive interactions with students, particularly through innovation centers, motivated students can be attracted to provide valuable scientific services to the country.
He added: Among the successful projects of the Academic Jihad is the collaboration between the infertility treatment center (Royah) and Qom University of Technology in the design of a smart incubator that continuously monitors and reports environmental conditions using advanced sensors. This achievement demonstrates the high capacity of the Academic Jihad in providing specialized services in Qom province.
Ghanbari stated: The province of Qom, with its seven industrial towns and four well-known industrial areas, has provided a suitable platform for the technical and engineering activities of the Academic Jihad. The university is ready to collaborate in the development of joint activities in the industry and technology fields to optimally utilize these capacities.
The President of Qom University of Technology pointed out the irreplaceable role of the Academic Jihad during the 12-day imposed war, stating: In critical conditions such as war, controlling the public psyche and combating despair is of special importance. In this regard, along with military achievements, articulating the scientific and service successes of the country in the media can enhance national spirit and self-confidence; in this context, the Academic Jihad in Qom has effectively played its role by organizing a series of enlightening meetings, raising collective awareness, narrating war stories, and benefiting from the capacities of the ISNA and IKNA news agencies in reflecting these important issues at the community level.
He continued: If young people are not aware of the real achievements of the country in various sectors, they become exposed to the enemy's propaganda bombardment that suggests Iran is dependent on others in all areas. However, experience has shown that in many fields, solutions presented by Iranian youth have astonished the world. Reflecting these successes can neutralize the enemy’s media conspiracies and provide a substantiated defense of national achievements.
Ghanbari stated that the widespread activities of the Academic Jihad should not lead to a decrease in the focus of this institution in specific areas and emphasized: Focusing on key areas and converging all capabilities will undoubtedly yield more effective outcomes; and the brilliant achievements of the Academic Jihad in various fields have proven that with unity of purpose and a jihadist outlook, favorable results can be attained.
