The Engineer's Day commemoration was held at Qom University of Technology.

According to the Public Relations Office of Qom University of Technology, the commemoration ceremony for Engineer's Day and the tribute to Khajeh Nasir al-Din Tusi was held in the presence of esteemed members of the university's board of trustees, Dr. Irani, the president of the Qom Chamber of Commerce and the head of Saman Polymer Design Company, and Engineer Yadgari, the manager of the Afzoon Ravan Farayand factory at this university.

At the beginning of this ceremony, Dr. Rezai Nour, the president of Qom University of Technology, congratulated everyone on Engineer's Day and welcomed the guests. He referenced the academic achievements of the university and stated:
With the necessary permissions obtained, the university is now able to enroll students in doctoral programs in Electrical Engineering and Computer Engineering. Furthermore, this university has achieved remarkable honors in the employment of undergraduate graduates, maintaining a 93% employment rate for graduates, similar to previous years in this field.

He further added that Qom University of Technology succeeded in obtaining the eighth national rank for conducting skill training courses, the tenth national rank for specialized course offerings, and the eighth national rank for general courses in 1403. Additionally, the implementation phase of the construction of the university's student dormitory has begun, which can play an effective role in improving students' living conditions.

Dr. Rezai Nour emphasized the importance of the technology and innovation ecosystem at the university, announced the addition of a patent office and a fabrication laboratory, and encouraged students to utilize the services of the innovation and growth center and to form knowledge-based teams for entrepreneurship.
He also stressed that students should make the most of the skill and specialized courses held by the Office of Industry Relations, the Center for Continuing Education, and cultural associations and scientific societies.

During the ceremony, Engineer Yadgari, the manager of the Afzoon Ravan Farayand factory, congratulated everyone on Engineer's Day and identified ethical qualities as among the most important characteristics of an engineer, stating:
Engineers must strive to create a beautiful and sustainable society and should learn national and international standards alongside their academic studies. Moreover, paying attention to internships and practical theses can significantly enhance students' readiness for entering the job market.

Dr. Irani, the president of the Qom Chamber of Commerce, also highlighted the necessity of training capable human resources from elementary school, stating: Students should seek solutions to problems and find the best paths for their future. Additionally, collaborating with industries and visiting companies and industrial parks can play a significant role in enhancing their skills and readiness for entering the job market.

Dr. Irani pointed out the existing opportunities in design, engineering, and launching knowledge-based businesses, remarking: Currently, about 3,000 companies operate in Qom province, of which 300 are considered knowledge-based. There are still many opportunities for starting new businesses in the engineering field, and students can enter this domain through innovation and skill acquisition.

The ceremony concluded with an emphasis on the importance of skill training, lifelong learning, and the role of engineers in the country's development.
