According to the public relations office of Qom University of Technology, the text of the message from Dr. Jalal Rezaei Nour, the president of Qom University of Technology, is as follows:In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful"Indeed, we belong to God and indeed, to Him we shall return"The news of the passing of the divine scholar, Hujjat al-Islam wal-Muslimeen Mohammad Reza Ashtiani (may God have mercy on him), a member of the Society of Teachers of Qom Seminary and a former representative of the noble people of Qom in the Islamic Consultative Assembly, is a source of grief and sorrow. This committed revolutionary cleric spent many years of his blessed life serving Islam and the Revolution, and in addition to his valuable academic efforts in the Islamic Consultative Assembly as a representative of the people of Qom, he had significant contributions. He also left behind valuable and impactful services in the Society of Teachers of Qom Seminary over the years. Undoubtedly, the scientific and Quranic contributions of this esteemed scholar in the seminary and university will not be forgotten. Among the works he left behind are the book Tafsir-e Namuneh, the message of Imam Amir al-Mu'minin (Commentary on Nahj al-Balagha), and Islamic Mysticism (Commentary on Sahifah Sajjadiyyah). I extend my condolences and sympathy for the loss of this pious scholar to the esteemed scholars and seminaries, his honorable family, and the noble and martyr-prone people of Qom, and I ask the Almighty God to grant mercy and extensive forgiveness to the deceased and patience and great rewards to the survivors.
