According to the University Public Relations: A brainstorming session was held with the faculty members of Qom Industrial University, Dr. Rezaei Nour, the university president, and Dr. Kafayatemand Ghiour, Senior Advisor to the President.
In this session, the faculty expressed their appreciation for the tireless efforts of Dr. Rezaei Nour and Dr. Kafayatemand Ghiour and shared their views, opinions, suggestions, and criticisms regarding the improvement of educational and research processes.
Dr. Rezaei Nour acknowledged the unique position and role of faculty in society, expressing gratitude for their relentless efforts. He stated that Qom Industrial University, as a developing university with young, elite, and active faculty, should enhance its educational and research stature to become one of the leading universities in the country. To this end, necessary follow-ups have been made in recent months to convert the employment status of faculty members.
The president of Qom Industrial University noted the critical mission of Qom Industrial University within the province, stating that faculty members can significantly contribute to the holistic growth and advancement of the university as supportive and executive arms. Undoubtedly, faculty with technical and specialized knowledge can assist us in improving university-related issues such as reforming current processes and implementing construction projects, among others.
He announced the expansion and revision of the university's Monitoring and Evaluation Office and added that, with the planned measures and the support of faculty members and staff, God willing, we will witness better service delivery, enhanced organizational efficiency and effectiveness, and process reform through the university's Monitoring and Evaluation Office.
Dr. Rezaei Nour emphasized that, to improve educational and research quality, we will pursue the recognition of outstanding faculty members while supporting them comprehensively.
He added: I will make every effort to transform Qom Industrial University into a scientific, research, and spiritual institution characterized by dynamism, vitality, and organizational unity. Undoubtedly, the implementation of all these programs requires the collaboration and solidarity of all of you.
At the end, the president of Qom Industrial University announced improvements to welfare services and stated that special planning has been carried out to enhance the welfare services for faculty and staff, with initial efforts currently underway.
It is noteworthy that with the approval of the president of Qom Industrial University, necessary planning will be implemented to reform the procedures relating to granting research grants, expedite the settlement of research projects, apply incentives for articles according to the ISC, ISI, Q4 regulations, review discrepancies in evaluation scores from previous terms, and provide cash grants without applying a ten percent tax. A representative from the recruitment committee will attend the scientific qualification working group meetings, and the restrictions on granting grants to faculty who utilized them in the previous term will be lifted. If possible, the library will be converted into an open repository for better utilization by users. The settlement of overdue teaching fees will be expedited. In order to enhance communication between scientific associations and department heads, the Office of Scientific Associations will be transferred to the faculties. Furthermore, a room will be allocated for faculty to rest.
