This book has been published by the efforts of Qom University of Technology Press, translated by Dr. Abdolreza Rasouli Kenari and Dr. Mahbubeh Shamsi, assistant professors at Qom University of Technology.
According to the public relations of the university, the introduction of this book states: A database refers to a vast collection of organized data, particularly useful for quick searches and retrievals.
The need to share scattered data within a company cannot be met with centralized database management software. To address this need, a new type of software for managing distributed (or distributed data) is required, known as a distributed database management system.
This system preserves and manages data across multiple computers and can be considered a set of multiple, separate centralized database management systems, each operating on a different computer and utilizing some communication facilities to coordinate their activities for shared access to organizational data.
This two-volume book addresses the issues of designing and developing a distributed database management system, and the chapters of the book discuss the challenges of creating such a system and various approaches to solving these problems.
