The blood-soaked message of the God-seeking people of Qom on January 9th, 1978, is a reminder of a glorious epic that resonated with a revolutionary cry across the nation and intertwined the 2,500-year reign of the monarchy, ultimately leading to the resounding victory of the Islamic Revolution.
On the epic day of January 9th, the people demonstrated that they fear no power in stepping onto the path of truth and justice, and with heartfelt belief and complete faith, they are willing to sacrifice even their lives for the victory of the Islamic Revolution.
Yesterday, the Iranian nation, with great insight and support for Imam Khomeini (RA), achieved the magnificent victory of the Islamic Revolution, and today, all of us, by supporting the Supreme Leader (may his shadow be exalted), will close off any avenue for interference and domination by domestic and foreign enemies. The massive rally on January 9th and thwarting the sinister plots of America and Saudi Arabia during the recent disturbances is evidence of the people's support for the Guardianship of the Islamic Jurist.
I, while commemorating the memory of the late Imam and the always-immortal martyrs, especially the martyrs of the Day of God on January 9th, hope that, relying on Almighty God, the special attention of His Holiness Al-Hujjat (may he hasten his reappearance), and following the directives of the Supreme Leader (may his shadow be exalted), we will witness the comprehensive advancement of Islamic Iran.
