The Basij can undoubtedly be regarded as one of the greatest honors of the Islamic Revolution and the Sacred Defense. The Basij is a complete reflection of support for the holy system of the Islamic Republic. At every moment of the glorious history of the Islamic Revolution, the Basijis respond to the call of the Supreme Leader, safeguarding the sacred ideals of Imam Khomeini (RA) and the martyrs in their shrouds of blood.
The Basijis of this land bear a weighty responsibility, as the Supreme Leader (may his shadow last) emphasizes: It is the Basij culture that can overcome all transformations in this country and guarantee its progress. Therefore, it is hoped that through the promotion of Basij culture in society and with the empathy and unity between the public and the government of prudence and hope, we will witness the flourishing of Islamic Iran in all areas.
I would like to extend my congratulations on the arrival of the Basij Week to the large university community, including staff, students, and all the servants of our dear Revolution, and I hope that under the guidance of the Imam of the Time (may Allah hasten his reappearance) and by adhering to the directives of the Supreme Leader, you will succeed in preserving and safeguarding the holy system of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
