According to the university's public relations office: Dr. Bahram Khushnavisan, President of Qom University of Technology, issued a message on the occasion of the passing of the longtime companion of the Imam as follows.
Indeed, we belong to Allah and indeed to Him, we will return
If it were not for the steadfastness, resilience, collaboration, and support of Ayatollah Hashemi Rafsanjani (may he rest in peace) with Imam Khomeini (may his soul be sacred) and the great leader of the revolution in the tumultuous fight against tyranny and tyrants, our glorious revolution would not have risen so proudly and honorably.
I extend my condolences to the noble people of Iran, the guardianship of the Muslim community, and his family for the demise of Ayatollah Hashemi Rafsanjani (may he rest in peace), the longtime companion of the late Imam and the Supreme Leader, and I pray for the deceased's elevated status and for patience and health for the bereaved from Almighty God.
