The sixteenth of Azar reminds us of the bloodshed of students who, through their martyrdom, demonstrated to the world that Iranian youth prefer death over humiliation based on religious teachings in the school of Hussaini, thus safeguarding their independence, freedom, and Islamic Republic.
Our students today, despite all the threats and unjust sanctions from the enemy, have shown that with scientific jihad and strong will, they can offer independence and freedom to their society in both scientific and cultural aspects. So much so that the Supreme Leader emphasizes the significance of students' role in the country's progress by stating: "Students are one of the esteemed and valuable segments of society, embodying the courage and quick action of the Iranian nation."
On this day, while honoring the memory of the martyrs of the struggle against arrogance on December 6, 1953 (16 Azar 1332), I extend my heartfelt congratulations to dear students and hope that you always take steps towards realizing the lofty goals of the Islamic homeland with trust in the Almighty and achieve success and prosperity in the growth and improvement of the country, especially in the field of entrepreneurship, turning knowledge into wealth, and cultural growth.
