The President of Qom University, in a message commemorating the memory of the martyrs of December 7 (16 Azar), congratulated all dear students on Student Day.
The text of Dr. Bahram Khoshnavisan's message is as follows:
December 7 (16 Azar) is a bright symbol of the resistance and steadfastness of aware and thoughtful students against foreign domination and internal tyranny. Indeed, this day is a turning point in the history of the political struggles of the ever-present Iranian nation.
According to martyr Beheshti , a student is the muezzin of society. If they remain aloof, the prayers of the nation will go unanswered. The significant role of dear students in the growth and flourishing of society is clear and evident to all. A capable student, equipped with a spirit of inquiry and analysis, can act as a driving force across various cultural, social, economic fields, and more, transforming a lethargic society into one that is enlightened, self-reliant, and powerful.
On this 16th of Azar, 1953, I pay tribute to the memory of the martyrs who fought against imperialism. I extend my congratulations to dear students on this sacred day and hope that you will always follow the guidance of the Supreme Leader (may his shadow be prolong) in achieving the lofty objectives of the government of hope and prudence, and that you succeed and thrive in the path of comprehensive advancement of our beloved homeland.
