With the establishment of 8 industrial towns and 4 industrial zones in this province, there was a significant need for creating a school of technology, which led to the founding of Qom University of Technology with a special mission in 2008. Currently, this university ranks among the top 15 technical universities in the country, and in the past year, it has become active internationally by obtaining the necessary licenses for attracting international students.
He added: Currently, with the presence of 72 young and creative faculty members and over 2,000 active and dynamic students, we have implemented special projects under the slogan "Qom University of Technology on the Path to a Knowledge-Based Economy" to address the industrial challenges of the province and create employment opportunities for students, and we have been quite successful in this regard.
The President of Qom University of Technology emphasized: Among the innovative projects of the university aimed at solving industrial problems and student employment is the "Industry Partner" project. By executing this project, Qom University of Technology achieved the first rank in graduate employment for bachelor's degree holders in 2020, the second rank in 2021, and the ninth rank for master's degree holders in 2021.
He further stated: Additionally, to bridge the gap between supply and demand in research and job opportunities for graduates, the "Voice System" (Industry, University, Elevation) was launched. In order to facilitate effective communication between the university and industries in the province, an "Industry Liaison Office" was opened in the Board of Directors building in Shahre Kaveh, Qom, serving as a "Voice Café".
