Held simultaneously with the Basij Week

According to the Public Relations of the University: Concurrent with the Basij Week in honor of the esteemed families of martyrs, the officials and Basijis of Qom Industrial University visited the families of the honored martyrs.
A group of officials and Basij student volunteers from Qom Industrial University met and conversed with the families of martyrs Ali Karimi Ahmadabad and Mojtaba Kavyani.
It is noteworthy that following the victory of the Islamic Revolution and considering the sensitive conditions of the country, Imam Khomeini (RA) on December 5, 1979, called for comprehensive military training and the formation of a 20 million-man army. This decree was approved by the parliament in January 1981 and was legally formalized. Since that year, December 5 has been designated as the Day of the Oppressed Basij. The goal of holding Basij Week is to promote Basij culture in society, renew the pledge, and familiarize the younger generation with the ideals of the Revolution and the Sacred Defense.
