According to the Public Relations Office of the University: Concurrent with the Sacred Defense Week at Qom University of Technology, a book and photo exhibition focused on sacrifice, martyrdom, and the Sacred Defense was organized. Events included an SMS competition and the decoration of the university with banners and posters related to the Sacred Defense, all made possible by the cultural management, the Islamic Association, and the Islamic Society. This week was commemorated with great significance.
At this exhibition, in addition to creating an atmosphere reminiscent of the war period, clips and music from the time of the war were played, and images of the martyrs from Qom province, along with excerpts from their wills, were displayed.
Dr. Akhoundi, the acting head of the university, during a visit to this exhibition, praised the students for honoring the culture of the Sacred Defense, considering the remembrance of the martyrs to be a spiritual asset.
He also referenced the will of his brother, martyr Ali Akhoundi, and regarded the rank of martyrdom as a very high status, adding: "Words that come from the heart inevitably settle in the heart. The words of the martyrs are derived from the pure human nature, and for this reason, martyrdom and the concept of martyrdom are so deeply intertwined with our Islamic and Iranian culture."
