The introductory meeting for the Basij of University Professors of Qom Industrial University, led by Dr. Mehdi Sahebi, took place with the presence of the university's board of directors, Colonel Shafiei, the head of the Basij Organization of Professors in Qom Province, Mr. Rafat Nejad, head of the Student Basij Resistance Zone, and Hojjatoleslam Val-muslimeen Azimi, representative of the Supreme Leader in the Basij, along with a group of staff and faculty members of the university. This event was held in the Shahid Akhundi amphitheater while adhering to health guidelines.
In a report from the university's public relations; Dr. Rezayi Noor, the president of Qom Industrial University, expressed his condolences on the anniversary of the martyrdom of Sayyida al-Kubra, Hazrat Fatemeh Zahra (peace be upon her), and welcomed the attendees of the meeting. He stated: "It is expected that the Basij of professors will serve as a coordinating structure for various Basij activities through the employee Basij and the student Basij so that effective steps can be taken for the growth and elevation of students and the cultivation of revolutionary students."
He referred to the statements of the Supreme Leader regarding the second phase of the revolution and said: "The Basij of professors must activate students and hold meetings regarding the second phase of the revolution to achieve scientific growth and leap in the university."
Dr. Ghorbani Mobin, the representative of the Supreme Leader in the university, continued by saying: "Professors are the most important pillar of the university, and they should be in pursuit of Islamic values."
He further added: "Professors must reinforce the Basij spirit in students and create a suitable environment for student activities."
Colonel Shafiei, the head of the Basij Organization of Professors in the province, in the continuation of the introductory meeting of the university's Basij commander, elaborated on the expectations from the Basij of professors. He outlined the foundation of these expectations based on the four pillars of the responsibilities of professors in the university, emphasizing their importance in the current circumstances.
At the end of the ceremony, Dr. Mehdi Sahebi was appointed as the first commander of the Basij of University Professors at Qom Industrial University.
It is also noteworthy that in this program, Mr. Hojjatoleslam Valmuslimeen Tabatabai was introduced as the representative liaison of the Supreme Leader in the university's Basij.
