The commemoration ceremony for Student Day was held virtually with the presence of the university's board of directors, organized by the cultural management department.
According to the university's public relations; during the commemoration of Student Day, which was attended by the university's board, Dr. Rezai Noar, the President of Qom University of Technology, honored the memory of the student martyrs, particularly martyrs Ghandechi, Bozorgnia, and Shahid Razavi, and congratulated the dear students on Student Day.
He stated: Over time, this land has become known worldwide because of its scholars. For this reason, every now and then, the global arrogant powers, knowing that the growth of this country is through its scholars, resort to the assassination of our scholars, such as martyrs Fakhrizadeh, Shahriyari, Alimohammadi, Ahmadi Roshan, Rezai Nejad, and others.
Dr. Rezai Noar said: The Leader of the Revolution states: It is the student who can stand against problems; the student is both young and knowledgeable; it is he who must manage the country's future, and he must be aware to strengthen the bastion of resilience against the greedy and opportunists, as well as others. This responsibility of students becomes completely clear in light of the statement by the esteemed Leader.
He referred to the missions of the youth in the second step of the revolution's statement and added: In this statement, knowledge and research are mentioned as the most evident means of a country’s dignity and power. Moreover, spirituality and ethics highlight the importance of upholding moral values and virtue, and in the economic realm, implementing resilient economy strategies is crucial and significant due to sanctions. He emphasized the mission of the youth in preserving independence, freedom, dignity, wisdom, and prudence in international relations, stating that the Islamic and Iranian lifestyle is particularly emphasized in this statement because the West's efforts to promote a Western lifestyle in Iran have led to irreparable moral, economic, religious, and political damages, and countering this requires a comprehensive and intelligent struggle in which the youth, particularly students, play an important role.
The President of Qom University of Technology noted the youthfulness of this university, stating: This university currently has a 12-year history, about 2000 students, and 24 fields in undergraduate and master’s programs. We believe that with a young, elite faculty and diligent employees, as well as motivated students like you, it can be among the top 15 industrial universities in the country by the year 1404.
Continuing the ceremony, Hojjatoleslam and Muslim Dr. Ghorbani Mobin, the representative of the Supreme Leader's Office at Qom University of Technology, commemorated Student Day by referencing a narration from Imam Ali (AS). He said: Imam Ali (AS) states: Acquiring knowledge empowers a person. Whoever learns knowledge will become powerful, and whoever lacks knowledge will be dominated by enemies.
He also pointed out the blessings of knowledge, adding: Knowledge is the source of human elevation, spiritual growth, and even material wealth.
Hojjatoleslam and Muslim Dr. Ghorbani Mobin continued: Today, our youth have much to say in the world, and this causes the enemies to harbor even greater animosity towards us. For example, martyr Fakhrizadeh, who was the pride of Iran, showed the world that one can stand against oppression with knowledge.
Appreciation of activists in student organizations, scientific associations, cultural and scientific centers, the student mobilization, the holding of a virtual competition, and the questioning of students with the university's board responding were among the other programs of this ceremony.
