According to the university's public relations: The debate of the candidates for the elections of the Student Council was held on Sunday, 93/9/8, in the Shahid Akhundi conference hall, thanks to the Islamic Society and the Student Affairs Department, with the presence of university officials and students.
In this debate, each of the approved candidates presented their programs, and the students, by questioning the candidates and expressing their opinions, demanded a more active Student Council.
Furthermore, Dr. Akhundi, the esteemed head of the university, while thanking the organization of this debate and the enthusiasm of the students, added: One of the strengths of Qom University of Technology is its active, creative, and talented students. Therefore, you deserve to benefit from the best facilities. The coming year will be extremely fruitful for the university because, with the cooperation of officials, particularly Dr. Larijani, the respected Speaker of the Islamic Consultative Assembly, the university's budget will improve. So, I promise you that we will utilize all the potentials of the university to fulfill your logical demands.
The head of Qom University of Technology considered the Student Council of universities as a large think tank with creative ideas and stated: Closer consideration of the Student Council members with university officials is one of the best strategies for diagnosing problems and identifying the strengths and weaknesses of different units within the university.
At the end, Dr. Karimi, the student affairs vice president, and Mr. Rezai Pouya, the student manager, were available to answer students' questions regarding the elections and their organization.
