According to the university's public relations office: With the efforts of professors, staff, and students of Qom Industrial University, two heads of sheep were sacrificed in celebration of the joyous occasion of Eid al-Adha.
In coordination with the Office of the Supreme Leader's Representative at the university, part of the sacrifice was distributed among the poor and needy, while another part was used on Tuesday, 6/7/1394 (October 28, 2015) to prepare a donated stew for lunch, serving professors, employees, and students.
Hojjatoleslam wal Muslimin Akhoundzadeh, the representative of the Supreme Leader's Office at the university, extended his condolences regarding the tragic Mina incident and stated that performing divine rituals is one of the emphases of the Islamic faith. He added that if these rituals are performed with the intention of seeking divine proximity, they will bring numerous worldly and spiritual blessings.

He mentioned regarding the sacrifice performed at the university that this noble tradition is being carried out for the second time at Qom Industrial University thanks to the efforts of professors, staff, and students, and it has been very well-received by everyone. He also expressed that, based on repeated requests, God willing, we hope to have similar programs for other occasions, including mourning ceremonies for Muharram and Safar, the martyrdom of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), and the birth of Imam Ali (AS).

The representative of the Supreme Leader's Office at the university emphasized that such environments not only create a spiritual atmosphere but also foster stronger camaraderie and affection among colleagues and students. For example, a significant portion of the expenses was spontaneously covered by professors, employees, and students, and of course, the university also bore some costs. Overall, everyone was involved in procuring, cooking, and distributing this donation, for which we should express our gratitude.
