Simultaneously with the inauguration of 29 sports projects at universities across the country, the artificial turf of Qom University of Technology was also inaugurated.
According to the university's public relations: On September 10, 2020, the artificial turf of Qom University of Technology was inaugurated via video conference by Dr. Rezai Noor, with the presence of Dr. Nazar Pour, Deputy for Administrative, Financial and Resource Management, Dr. Sedighi, Head of Student Affairs, and Dr. Alizadeh, Director General of Physical Education at the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology.
In the inauguration ceremony of the artificial turf project at Qom University of Technology, Dr. Rezai Noor said: "Considering the high level of surface drainage water in this area and the unsuitable soil conditions, excavation has been carried out to create an appropriate foundation and approximately 80 cubic meters of stone have been utilized."
He added: "This project has involved more than 1100 cubic meters of earthwork, which has been carried out in four layers with suitable soil for backfilling and subgrade, and 125 cubic meters have been poured with a thickness of 10 centimeters of concrete. Moreover, the artificial grass for this project was sourced from a reputable company that meets all FIFA standards and is also approved by the country's standard organization."
It is worth noting that the artificial turf of Qom University of Technology, with an area of 1250 square meters, was completed at a cost of over 3,500,000,000 rials over two years.
