Meeting of the Board of Directors with the Governor of Qom Province

The board of directors of Qom University of Technology met with the esteemed governor of Qom Province.

In this meeting, Mr. Karam Reza Piriyayi, the esteemed governor of Qom Province, regarded the enhancement of familiarity and interaction between the academic community and the strategic and executive perspectives of the province as an essential matter.

He emphasized the special status of Qom, stating: "The religious seminary has made Qom more global. Furthermore, the universities in Qom must move in the direction of manifesting the culture and spirituality of the province. The teachings of the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them) should be reflected in all endeavors, especially in universities." He mentioned that Qom University of Technology should support the theory of sustainable development, adding that attention to providing hardware and software needs, especially the acceleration in the allocation of necessary land and the commencement of construction operations for a new university building, will be essential in Qom Province.

Continuing, Dr. Moshkhoe Al-Sadat, the esteemed president of the University of Technology, stated that this university began its activities in 1387 with two fields of study and 70 students, and today is operating with 10 fields of study and 1,500 students. By 1394, it is projected that the student population at this religious university will increase to 6,000.
