According to the university's public relations office: Dr. Khoshnavisan, President of Qom Industrial University, along with the university's vice presidents, met and discussed with Dr. Saqaiyan Nejad, the Mayor of Qom, on the morning of Thursday, September 12, 2015, at the City Hall of Qom.
Dr. Khoshnavisan, while highlighting the importance of Qom Industrial University in the province, added: This university currently offers 11 undergraduate programs, 11 master's programs, and has attracted nearly 2000 local and non-local students, supported by 52 faculty members. He noted that despite the impressive percentage of undergraduate students being accepted into master’s programs, the university faces significant challenges due to budget constraints and a lack of physical space.
Dr. Khoshnavisan emphasized: As a result of ongoing follow-ups, a land area of 24 hectares located at kilometer 9 of the Qom–Tehran freeway has been allocated to this university for the construction of the main campus, with initial construction phases set to begin once funding is secured.
The Mayor of Qom, while expressing happiness over this meeting, stated: The scientific future of the country depends on universities; if peripheral issues affect scientific matters, irreparable problems for the country's development will arise.

He continued by addressing the need for increasing green spaces in universities and added: The lack of green space is one of the serious problems in the city of Qom, and the urban services management is ready to cooperate with all institutions, including the universities in Qom, to expand green spaces across the city. It is hoped that with further cooperation, we will see improvements in the green space of Qom Industrial University.
