Public Invitation for Research and Technology Week

The National Week of Research and Technology is a week that provides a suitable opportunity to focus on various aspects of research and technology in the country. It allows all stakeholders to be informed about existing trends and conditions, enabling them to plan for a better and more significant future. The selection and introduction of outstanding individuals in the field of research and technology and honoring them, as well as creating opportunities for interaction among stakeholders through various means such as exhibitions, technology markets, conferences, seminars, and media interviews, create an environment in the country that enhances the dignity and status of research and technology. It lays a solid foundation for continuing efforts to strengthen and develop research and technology, which are essential for the genuine progress of the country and the creation of wealth, welfare, and security for its people in social and cultural dimensions. Since 2000, to promote the culture of research, the Ministry of Science, Research, and Technology has designated the fourth week of Azar as Research Week, considering the designation of December 25th as Research Day by the Supreme Council of Cultural Revolution, and has entrusted the organization of this week to its Research Deputy.
The goals of holding Research and Technology Week:
-         Promoting the culture of research and technology at the national level and enhancing the dignity and status of active stakeholders in this field.
-         Encouraging researchers and technologists in the country to produce more scientific and technological knowledge and the resulting honor and wealth.
-         Clarifying the current status of research and technology, its trends, and future prospects for the public and authorities, and obtaining feedback for coordination and advancement of work.
-         Identifying and presenting the findings of research and technology.
-         Facilitating the commercialization of research findings and developed technologies.
-         Establishing constructive communication between researchers and technologists of executive bodies and buyers of outputs or strengthening the connection between academia and industry.
-         Encouraging and recognizing top researchers and technologists.
-         Evaluating the research and technological activities of universities and other research centers over the past year.
-         Increasing sensitivity and attention of managers to research and technological activities.
In this context, Qom University of Technology will hold a special program for Research Week and the honoring of outstanding university researchers on Tuesday, 24/9/1398 from 12:30 to 14:00 virtually (non-attendance).
