According to the university's public relations, in the first round of the problem-solving competitions organized by the National Elite Foundation, named "Rahnashan," five students from Qom University of Technology achieved top rankings.
It is worth mentioning that these competitions aimed to identify capable individuals and teams, students, and technologists for empowerment in solving the problems and needs of the country's industry, covering five areas: biotechnology, transportation, water and environmental issues, energy, and smart technology, hosting 38 knowledge-based companies and 56 projects.
The companies defined technological projects, presented their needs, and began a 5-month activity starting from October, which continued until March 1, 2021. These projects reached the execution phase with the participation of 4,510 individuals.
After 7 stages of assessment and holding various training workshops, team-building sessions, and coaching aimed at advancing the projects, the top teams advanced to the final stage, leading to competition among over 300 teams .
The closing ceremony and recognition of the top teams in this competition were held on March 1, 2021, in the presence of Dr. Setareh, the Vice President for Science and Technology.
Names and Rankings:
First place was awarded to Mr. Amir Mahdi Ghafouri, a bachelor's student in industrial engineering, for the project "Identification and Tracking of Pallets in the Supply Chain of Saipa Automotive Group" in the field of transportation.
Second place was awarded to Ms. Zahra Nazarian, a bachelor's student in energy engineering, for the feasibility study of the Redox_SOFC fuel cell in the energy sector.
Second place was also awarded to Ms. Sayyedeh Fatemeh Zahra Seyed Alangi, a bachelor's student in energy engineering, for the feasibility study of the Redox_SOFC fuel cell in the energy sector.
Third place was awarded to Ms. Hanieh Sajadi, a bachelor's student in mechanical engineering, for the project "Battery Management System and Temperature Control Methods in Electric Vehicle Battery Packs" in the energy field.
Third place was also awarded to Mr. Alireza Saleh Alianey, a bachelor's student in energy engineering, for the project "Smart Solutions in the Oil and Gas Industry" in the field of smart technology.
