According to the Public Relations of the university: The documentary "A Man Wants" was screened in the Shahid Akhundi conference hall of Qom Industrial University, with the presence of the film's production team, thanks to the efforts of the Islamic Association of the university.
The film "A Man Wants" narrates the liberation of the Baiji refinery from the hands of ISIS. This film was recorded and produced in 2014-2016 in Iraq, specifically in the Nineveh and Salah al-Din provinces, using a mobile phone. The documentary "A Man Wants," produced by Hojjatoleslam and Muslims Sajjad Salehi and directed by Hadi Nazari, was critiqued and reviewed after its screening at the university by Morad Nazari, a cinema critic.
Hojjatoleslam and Muslims Sajjad Salehi stated regarding the making of this documentary: "This documentary is a bit different from others; we were seven seminarians who decided to go to the battle zones of ISIS during the promotion days of Muharram in 2014 to preach. For this purpose, after consultations and research, we agreed to go to an area in Syria. However, one day before our flight, due to security reasons, our plan changed, and we traveled to the Baiji area in Salah al-Din Province, Iraq. Since we did not intend to make a documentary, we did not bring professional equipment, and filming in that war zone, which was not yet liberated, was illegal. But with the commencement of military operations for liberation in the last few days of the operation, due to our communication with the forces and the trust the operation commander had developed in us, we obtained permission to film ourselves with a mobile phone to record our memories. After returning, we put the filmed clips together and edited them, resulting in the documentary "A Man Wants," which fortunately received attention and won first place at the Martyrs Festival in Tabriz. It was also nominated for the documentary section of the Tonin Festival and the documentary section of the Chaharcharak Festival, and at the Resistance Art and Literature Festival held in Khorramshahr, it was awarded first place in the short documentary category.
Finally, Seyed Ali Mousavi, one of the defenders of the shrine, shared his memories of the hand-to-hand combat between the shrine defenders and ISIS forces.
