The Secretary General of the People’s Party at Qom University of Technology: We need specialized and competent candidates for a more enthusiastic election.

According to the university's public relations: The conference (Reforms and Upcoming Elections) was held with the presence of Dr. Kaveh Kavehbian, Secretary General of the People's Party, organized by the Islamic Students Association, on Tuesday, 94/8/19 in the Shahid Akhoundi Conference Hall at Qom University of Technology.
Dr. Kavehbian stated: The concept of reforms holds a special place in our religious teachings; these teachings are expressed in the divine verses. It is mentioned in the Quran that the prophet Shu'ayb has stated that he desires nothing but reform from the people.
He added: Reforms are the aim of divine prophets. Our prophets are striving for the reform of the people to the best of their ability. This matter also has a divine aspect, for divine assistance must be provided so that we can carry these reforms forward.
The Secretary General of the People's Party emphasized: Imam Ali (AS) in his famous letter to Malik al-Ashtar succinctly outlines four responsibilities for governments. He states that people are of two types; either they are your faithful brothers or your human brothers, and for this reason, we must preserve the dignity of all people in every domain.
Dr. Kavehbian continued: Imam Ali (AS) sought to reform society and governance. One of the most important duties of governments is to reform societies. The government must create the conditions for moral development, the growth of human virtues, and the elevation of spirituality.
The Secretary General of the People's Party highlighted: Western governments primarily seek to provide material benefits for the people, but we claim to be the representatives of both this world and the hereafter, and for this reason, we must not neglect either of these two realms.
Dr. Kavehbian added: The aim of Imam Hussein's (AS) movement and the Ashura uprising was also this reform in society and governance. The enemies, through the atmosphere they created, labeled the grandson of the Prophet as an outsider.
Dr. Kavehbian, referring to the upcoming elections, said: To have a vigorous election and a strong parliament, qualified, skilled, moderate, and capable individuals must be nominated for the tenth term of the Islamic Consultative Assembly elections.
The Secretary General of the People's Party emphasized: The parliament is at the helm of affairs, but it must demonstrate this itself and plan accordingly. The commissions formed in this area should be specialized commissions with experienced and knowledgeable individuals.
Kavehbian said: Representatives must possess enough knowledge to engage ministers scientifically or to approve plans they can rely on for years. He added: A representative should pursue the demands of the majority of the people, not merely represent a specific minority movement. In this regard, there should be no room for compromise.
The Secretary General of the People's Party emphasized: Today, the country is in a very sensitive situation, and in these circumstances, we must maintain our exemplary status. Ten years have passed since the 20-year document, and based on this predetermined plan, we must be ranked first in the region within the next ten years.
The Secretary General of the People's Party highlighted: We want an efficient and specialized parliament that can serve as a model for society in all areas. The late Imam stated that we must support the oppressed because if someone has suffered, they can empathize with the problems of the people.
Kavehbian said: By increasing people's participation in the elections, we can enhance our effectiveness in the realm of national unity and the protection of national interests. With increased public participation, we can better face challenges from entities like the 1+5 group. Conflicts will undoubtedly weaken the country's position against these movements.
This conference concluded with questions from the students.
