According to the Public Relations Office of the university: The commemoration ceremony of the Freedom Day of Khorramshahr was held with the presence of Commander Ahmad Moghimi, Commander of the Ali ibn Abi Talib Corps, along with officials, professors, staff, and students, organized by the Cultural and Social Management of Qom University of Technology in the conference hall of Martyr Akhoundi.
At this ceremony, Dr. Khoshnavisan, President of Qom University of Technology, welcomed Commander Ahmad Moghimi, stating that this great day is considered a "Day of God" and full of blessings, as we have all gathered here thanks to the presence of Commander Ahmad Moghimi to benefit from his valuable words.
Commander Ahmad Moghimi, Commander of the Ali ibn Abi Talib Corps, while commemorating this great day, identified prayer as one of the factors behind the victory of the warriors during the eight years of the Sacred Defense. He added: "The significance of prayer and seeking intercession from the Imams is so momentous that it provides strength to the hearts of the warriors in various operations that the Commander-in-Chief states: Today, the enemies spend enormous amounts of money to erase the memory of prayer and the Sacred Defense from the minds and memories of the people."
Commander Ahmad Moghimi spoke about the support of other countries for Saddam during the Iran-Iraq war, saying: "The U.S., Israel, Saudi Arabia, and Kuwait supported Saddam to such an extent and provided him with weapons and military equipment that Saddam was entirely confident of his victory, gathering seventy of his journalists and stating: ‘Next week, I will complete this interview in Tehran.’ Thanks to God, today we are in the region, while others are not. All of this is due to the honor and faith of our warriors."
The Commander of the Ali ibn Abi Talib Corps added: "During the seven years of the abominable ISIS war, we experienced thirty-eight significant events. If it weren't for the efforts of my brother, my beloved, Haj Qasem, and the valiant youth of Iran, we would have found ourselves on the border with Israel today and, like Palestine, would be under the yoke of oppression and tyranny."
Commander Ahmad Moghimi emphasized: "I ask all of you to study history. It is explicitly documented in history that Saddam, in an interview, stated: ‘The keys to Basra and Khorramshahr are connected. If the Iranians take Khorramshahr, I will gift them Basra.’ We have defended ourselves this way, and we will continue to do so, remaining steadfast in our path. At that time, the godless Westerners think that by telling lies and nonsense, they can undermine the belief and trust of the great Iranian nation in the revolution and the Supreme Leader (may His shadow last long).
Furthermore, the Commander of the Ali ibn Abi Talib Corps pointed out: "It is clear and evident to all that the root of the Takfiri movement lies with Israel and America, and the Saudis are their tools and servants. However, our youth and warriors in defending the holy shrine of Lady Zainab (Peace Be Upon Her) have shown that we are more steadfast than ever. The efforts of our warriors are so monumental that the Supreme Leader said: ‘If there were no defenders of the shrine, our people in Hamadan and Kermanshah would have to fight against ISIS.’ Most important of all, the bravery and selflessness of our warriors and youth are due to the prophetic leadership of our leader and master, which has inspired motivation, resilience, and ultimately victory in every period of time.
The live performance of the national anthem of the Islamic Republic of Iran by the military march group and the speech of Hojjatoleslam Va Moslemin Joshanian, one of the leading scholars of the seminary, were among the other programs of this ceremony.
