Qom Industrial University has taken on the role of the secretariat for the Nanotechnology Headquarters of the province, promoting nanotechnology.

 According to the public relations of the university:  The ninth week of nanotechnology is being held from December 1st to 4th in Qom province.
 Qom University of Technology, acting as the secretariat of the provincial nanotechnology headquarters, has taken initial steps to implement the programs of the nanotechnology week through ongoing meetings with the departments of Qom province.
  Dr. Bahram Khoshnavisan, president of Qom University of Technology and secretary of the provincial nanotechnology headquarters, pointed out that the week promoting nanotechnology in Qom province is from December 1st to 4th, and various organizations such as the electricity company, the water and wastewater company, the industry, mining and trade organization, the general education department, Payame Noor University, the Applied Science University, Qom University, Shahab Danesh, and others have programs in this field.
 He noted that today, promoting nanotechnology is one of the scientific advances of the country, which the Supreme Leader has emphasized several times. In fact, the country is ranked seventh globally in terms of publishing papers in this technology, but we still lack a good standing in terms of practical application and product development.
 The president of Qom University of Technology stated that the main goal of this week is to promote nanotechnology. Companies, professionals, technologists in the province, and educational and research centers should become more familiar with this technology. If industries have a systematic approach, they can be directed towards using nanotechnology to improve the quality of their products.
 He emphasized that the province has a high capacity in terms of industrial parks and is located between the two main nanotechnology hubs of the country, namely Tehran and Isfahan. Therefore, Qom city has significant facilities and capacity in this sector.
  Dr. Khoshnavisan said:  The headquarters for organizing the nanotechnology week in each province is being established, and in Qom province, the governor presides over it, and the secretariat is based at Qom University of Technology. Therefore, as the secretariat, we are responsible for familiarizing and promoting nanotechnology.
 The secretary of the provincial nanotechnology headquarters in Qom mentioned the programs for the first day of December, stating that a seminar on introducing nanotechnology, organized by Qom University of Technology, Qom University, and the education system, and a seminar on the applications of nanotechnology in health and medicine organized by the medical university will be held.
 He noted that an exhibition showcasing the achievements of nanotechnology in Iran, organized by Qom University, Qom University of Technology, and the educational district one of Qom, will also be held on this day.
 
 Dr. Khoshnavisan mentioned the seminar on the applications of nanotechnology in the water and wastewater industry, commercialization of nanotechnology research organized by the science and technology park of Qom province and Qom University of Technology, and an introduction to nanotechnology organized by the technical and vocational college of Sama, the comprehensive scientific and applied university, and the education department as part of the programs for this Tuesday, December 2nd, this year.
 The secretary of the provincial nanotechnology headquarters in Qom referred to the programs for December 3rd this year and added that a seminar introducing the applications of nanotechnology in food and packaging, organized by the agricultural jihad organization in Qom province, a seminar on familiarization with nanotechnology organized by the medical university of Qom, the education department of Qom province, and Shahab Danesh Higher Education Institute, are among the programs for this day.
 He listed a seminar introducing the applications of nanotechnology in construction organized by the engineering organization of Qom province, a seminar on commercialization of nanotechnology research organized by Qom University and the Islamic Azad University branch in Qom, and a meeting on introducing nanotechnology and the actions of the Islamic Republic in this field organized by Mofid University as other programs for December 3rd of this year.
 He reminded that the exhibition showcasing the achievements of nanotechnology in Iran, organized by the governor's office of Qom, the medical university of Qom, Shahab Danesh Higher Education Institute, the education department of district three, and the education department of district four will also be held on this day.
 Khoshnavisan listed a special meeting to review the strategy for developing nanotechnology in Qom province organized by the governor's office of Qom, a seminar on the application of nanocoatings in the industry organized by the industry, mining and trade organization of Qom province, a seminar introducing the applications of nanotechnology in agriculture organized by the agricultural jihad organization of Qom province, a meeting on introducing nanotechnology and the actions of the Islamic Republic of Iran organized by the Qom seminary, and a seminar on familiarization with nanotechnology held by Payame Noor University of Qom as the programs for December 4th of this year.
 He mentioned that the exhibition showcasing the achievements of nanotechnology in Iran will be held on December 4th this year, organized by Payame Noor University of Qom and the Qom seminary.
