According to the Public Relations Office of the university: Considering that Qom Province is situated among industrial cities such as Tehran, Isfahan, and Saveh, and is part of one of the main transportation arteries of the country, as well as the existence of seven industrial towns in this province, Qom University of Technology has created a connection between industry and academia.
Following a series of meetings between Qom University of Technology and prominent industries in the province, in line with enhancing the connection between industry and academia, the university's industry cooperation team, along with several officials and professors from this university, visited the Pakshoma factory.
Given the extensive activities of Pakshoma in the field of producing household products, including various refrigerators, freezers, dishwashers, automatic and semi-automatic washing machines, vacuum cleaners, and air conditioners for domestic consumption and export to neighboring countries, the university's industry relations team, comprised of distinguished professors and active students, visited this factory to familiarize themselves with this industry.
During this visit, attended by Dr. Rezai Noor, the president of Qom University of Technology, Dr. Kia, the manager of Pakshoma, briefed the team on the processes involved in the construction and production of products.
He indicated that one of the factory’s biggest challenges is the shortage of parts and stated: "Considering the current sanctions, the lack of components is one of the most significant problems facing this factory, and we seek the cooperation and brainstorming of the university's industry assistance team to help resolve this issue."
Dr. Kia added: "Today, Pakshoma operates as a well-known brand both domestically and internationally, but the presence of fresh and skilled specialists can significantly contribute to the further advancement of this entity."
Dr. Rezai Noor, the president of Qom University of Technology, stated: "Undoubtedly, cooperation between industry and academia can play an important role in solving the industrial challenges faced by this factory."
He further noted: "By enhancing the quantity and quality of laboratories at Qom University of Technology and establishing an innovation center at this university, we have created research opportunities for professors and students. Therefore, through greater collaboration between this factory and Qom University of Technology, we can witness significant advancements for this entity while also fulfilling the crucial mission of Qom University of Technology."
At the end, the Office of Industry Relations at Qom University of Technology was inaugurated at the Pakshoma factory with the aim of fostering greater interaction between university members and factory officials.
