According to the university's public relations: Dr. Omid, during his one-day trip on Wednesday, October 1, 1994, met and discussed with Dr. Khoshnavisan, the President, and the Vice Presidents of Qom University of Technology.
Initially, Dr. Khoshnavisan welcomed the guests and congratulated them on the auspicious occasion of Eid al-Adha, providing a report on the current situation at the university.
Dr. Omid expressed his pleasure at this meeting, stating the importance of technical universities in the country, and added: the infrastructure of technical universities holds high importance. Considering that Qom University of Technology is newly established, greater attention must be paid to its infrastructure so that better decisions can be made in the future.
The Deputy Minister for Administrative, Financial, and Resource Management at the Ministry of Science, Research, and Technology called for the establishment of a Benefactors' Assembly at this university to carry out construction projects. He emphasized that a ratio of 20 professors to students should be taken into account, and planning and action should be based on this.
Dr. Omid noted: Better and more interaction with local officials can be a suitable help in solving some of the problems faced by this university. Furthermore, the government will assist you in the current budget, and through reforms in the plans we have, we will strive to increase universities' revenues, including Qom University of Technology.
