The Entrepreneurship Council meeting and industry engagement focused on selecting a designer for the Innovation Center.

According to the university's public relations office, the Entrepreneurship Council and Industry Relations session of Qom University of Technology was held virtually with all members present, focusing on selecting the designer for the Innovation Center. During this session, the backgrounds of the applicants for the design of the Innovation Center in the Iranian Government’s support system were reviewed, and the final designer for the development plan of the Innovation Center was selected. The main criteria for selecting the designer included experience in designing collaborative workspaces, a history of executing similar projects, and the timeline for presenting the final design. The timeline for the first phase of the Innovation Center's development, which includes designing in accordance with the criteria set by the Vice Presidency for Science and Technology, was established for June 5, 2020.
Additionally, various models for managing collaborative workspaces, demand-driven accelerators, and the organization of training and mentoring courses were discussed. It was decided that in future meetings, after necessary reviews regarding the financial model and outcomes of the Innovation Center, decisions would be made about the transfer to the private sector.
It is noteworthy that the development plan for the Innovation Center began in the summer of 2019 with the establishment of its administrative section, offering consulting services, technological visits, and support for startup businesses. Currently, with the support of the Vice Presidency for Science and Technology, this center is expanding its physical space and launching the first collaborative workspace in Qom province with the aim of fostering entrepreneurship and providing comprehensive support for startup businesses throughout the province.
