According to the university's public relations report: An orientation session for new students at the Faculty of Basic Sciences was held with the presence of Dr. Khoshnavisan, the university president, and faculty members on Tuesday, 94/7/13 in the Shahid Akhoundi Conference Hall.
Initially, Dr. Ghorbani, the acting head of the Faculty of Basic Sciences, introduced the holy city of Qom and Qom Industrial University. He pointed out the necessity of establishing an industrial university in Qom Province, stating that the holy city of Qom, besides being the capital of Islam, is located along the route to cities such as Isfahan, Arak, and Tehran, and with the existence of industrial towns, it has turned into one of the industrial hubs of Iran, making the establishment of such a university conducive to further industrial growth.
Furthermore, Dr. Khoshnavisan welcomed the new students and emphasized that the primary responsibility of every student is to study and research. He noted that the university is relatively newly established, and the admission rankings achieved here are at a desirable level compared to other reputable universities.
