According to the university's public relations office: The conference on 9th of Dey was held with the presence of Dr. Akhundi, the university's caretaker, faculty members, staff, and students, organized by the cultural management in the Shahid Akhundi Conference Hall from 14:30 to 16:00.
In this conference, Hojjatoleslam Valmoslemin Omidian, the cultural manager, discussed the significance of the 9th of Dey coinciding with the leadership of Imam Mahdi (may God hasten his reappearance), addressing the reasons behind the Greater and Lesser Occultation and emphasizing the role of the Guardian Jurist during this crucial period. He added: During the time of the unrest in 2009, when the whole world came together to exacerbate the situation, it was the timely intervention of the Guardian Jurist and the people's insight and faith in him that registered this epic in the illustrious history of the Islamic Revolution.
Then, Hojjatoleslam Valmoslemin Akhoundzadeh, the representative of the Supreme Leader's office (may his shadow be long), referred to the enthusiastic participation of the people in the 2009 elections, stating: We were still intoxicated by the people's presence in the elections, and the world was taken aback by this turnout, which sparked this incident. Today, the enemy's finger is not solely pointed at Iran but aims at all Islamic countries and seeks division among Muslims worldwide. However, the people of Iran, with the might of religion and faith, have been overcoming the plots of the enemies, as evidenced by the unrest of 2009 and the resounding response of the people to the directives of the Supreme Guardian on the 9th of Dey.
He added: The reminders in the Quran are for contemplation and experience. By reflecting on the verses of the Quran and through the guidance of the Supreme Leader (may his shadow be long), we will stand firm against any form of deviation and ignorance.
During the continuation of the conference, Dr. Akhundi and Hojjatoleslam Valmoslemin Omidian unveiled the International Imam Reza (PBUH) Festival. This festival will be hosted by 15 universities across the country, with Qom University of Technology also in charge of organizing a festival titled "From the Sacred Sanctuary of Fatimah to the Blessed Sanctuary of Reza".
At the end, a lottery was conducted for the 9th of Dey epic competition by Dr. Akhundi, and gifts were awarded to 5 of the winners as a token of remembrance.
