Coinciding with the martyrdom of Imam Musa Kazem (PBUH), a memorial ceremony for the martyrs was held in the Shahid Akhoondi Conference Hall, organized by the Cultural Management of Qom University of Technology to keep the names and memories of the martyrs alive.
According to the Public Relations of Qom University of Technology, this ceremony featured storytelling by Hojjatoleslam Vali Jooshghani and poetry recitation by Javad Barzegar, attended by a group of professors and staff from the university, and was streamed online on social media.
Dr. Rezai Noor, the President of Qom University of Technology, expressed condolences on the occasion of the martyrdom of Imam Musa Kazem (PBUH), stating: "Every year during these days, the Road to Light camps could keep the memories of the martyrs of the Sacred Defense alive for us, but this year, due to the circumstances of the COVID-19 pandemic, students and schoolchildren are unable to participate in the camps."
He continued: "Our entire aim for hosting the memorials for the martyrs is to keep their names and memories alive, as we owe our existence to the martyrs and must always be grateful to them."
Hojjatoleslam Vali Jooshghani, at the beginning of his storytelling about the bravery of the martyrs of the eight-year Sacred Defense, said:
"We are all indebted to the sacrifices and selflessness of the martyrs, and the least we can do to continue their path is to keep their memories, ideals, and names alive."
He further stated: "Martyr Hajji is one of the martyrs defending the holy shrines whom God had a special regard for. If we have not been present alongside the martyrs on the battlefield against oppression, today, by following their path, we can compensate for a part of their sacrifices, and as our beloved leader has said, there is an opportunity to conduct cultural and awareness activities for 80 years regarding the eight years of the Sacred Defense."
Hojjatoleslam Vali Jooshghani referred to the bravery of Martyr Major General Qassem Soleimani, stating: "Haj Qassem Soleimani achieved his long-standing wish, which was martyrdom, and according to his belief and the belief of all Iranians, martyrs are always alive, and Qassem Soleimani will remain in the hearts of all Iranians forever."
