In order to honor prominent figures in higher education, the Minister of Science extended a phone call congratulating the New Year to five distinguished professors from the country's universities.
Dr. Mansour Gholami, the Minister of Science, Research and Technology, following the commendable tradition of previous years where he used to visit the homes of prominent university professors to personally congratulate them on the New Year, this year, due to the outbreak of the coronavirus and adherence to health protocols, conducted separate phone conversations with several well-known professors from universities across the country to congratulate them on the New Year and inquire about their well-being. According to the university's public relations office, citing the Ministry of Science's General Office of Public Relations, Dr. Gholami spoke in these separate phone calls with Dr. Kazem Amini, a faculty member at Isfahan University, Dr. Zia Mohi, a retired faculty member of the Institute of Wisdom and Philosophy, Dr. Hamid Latifi, a faculty member at Shahid Beheshti University, Dr. Alireza Kuchaki, a faculty member at Ferdowsi University of Mashhad, and also Dr. Kazem Akrami, a retired professor.
Dr. Kazem Amini is a distinguished chemistry professor in Iran and a faculty member at Isfahan University.
Dr. Zia Mohi is also a retired faculty member of the Institute of Wisdom and Philosophy and one of the renowned philosophy professors in Iran.
Dr. Hamid Latifi is a faculty member at Shahid Beheshti University and one of the pioneers in optics and laser technology in Iran.
Dr. Alireza Kuchaki is an esteemed professor in the field of agriculture and a faculty member at Ferdowsi University of Mashhad, as well as a full member of the Academy of Sciences of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
Dr. Kazem Akrami is a retired professor and the former president of Kharazmi University.
It is noteworthy that the Minister of Science will also have phone conversations with a number of other esteemed and distinguished professors from universities across the country in the coming days.
